What is the difference between a paediatric dentist and a family dentist?
Paediatric dentists are primary and specialty oral care providers for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs
It is quite common that dentist are unable to perform complex Endodontic treatment. Considerably better results are normally achieved by a dentist who has specialist Endodontic training to a high level, has more experience, and uses equipment that NHS dentist may not have.
I have been told that I require oral surgery treatment in hospital. Can you help?
Our oral surgeon BDS, Msc has many years’ experiences providing specialist surgical care. These procedures (i.eExtractions, Wisdom Teeth Removal etc,) are carried out routinely in our clinic mostly on the private basis, Also possible to refer you to NHS hospital through our Dentists.
Do I need NHS referral for orthodontics?
NHS braces are only for children meeting strict criteria. Adults must go private.
- In the UK, you usually need a referral from your GP or dentist to access NHS orthodontic treatment.
- NHS orthodontics are typically prioritized for children and teenagers with more severe orthodontic problems, and adults have limited access unless it’s clinically necessary.
- If you want private orthodontic treatment (including Invisalign), you can usually go straight to a private orthodontist without a referral.
What will happen at periodontal consultation?
We do not have a periodontist at our practice, so we will refer if needed and they will go through a consultation assess gums, depths of pockets and discuss best treatment plan
